RAP Standard Publication Licence
This licence governs articles published via the Standard Route on Runnymede Academic Press journals.

Funder mandate incompatibility. The Standard Route is not compatible with mandates from UKRI, Wellcome Trust, ERC, or cOAlition S / Plan S funders, which require immediate open access and author retention of copyright. Authors subject to such mandates must use the Open Access Route.
1. Copyright
By executing the Licence to Publish agreement, the Author assigns to Futures House Limited (trading as Runnymede Academic Press) all copyright in the Version of Record of the Article. This assignment is worldwide, exclusive, and irrevocable, and includes the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works, and exploit the Article in all media and formats now known or hereafter developed.
Copyright in the intellectual content of the Article and in the Accepted Manuscript remains with the Author in accordance with the Licence to Publish agreement.
2. Open Access Period
Following publication, the Version of Record will be made freely accessible to all readers on the publisher's platform for a period of twelve (12) calendar months from the date of first publication (the "Open Access Period").
During the Open Access Period, readers may view and download the Article for personal and non-commercial research purposes. The Article is not published under a Creative Commons or other open licence during the Open Access Period; all rights are reserved by Futures House Limited.
3. Subscription Access
Following expiry of the Open Access Period, the Article will be accessible only to subscribers to the relevant journal or to the publisher's full-access subscription. Access will be governed by the publisher's standard subscription terms.
4. Author Rights Retained
Notwithstanding the copyright assignment above, the Author retains the following non-exclusive rights:
- the right to use the Article for teaching and educational purposes within the Author's institution;
- the right to include the Article in the Author's thesis or dissertation;
- the right to post the submitted (pre-review) version of the manuscript on the Author's personal website or institutional repository, clearly labelled as a pre-publication version that has not been peer reviewed;
- the right to share the Article privately with collaborators and colleagues;
- the right to reproduce the Article in whole or in part in any subsequent work authored by the Author, subject to appropriate citation of the Version of Record.
5. Version of Record
Regardless of publication route, copyright in the Version of Record as a distinct typeset work — incorporating Runnymede Academic Press typesetting, layout, DOI presentation, and house style — vests in Futures House Limited. This applies to both Standard Route and Open Access Route publications.
6. Identification
Articles published under this licence carry the SPDX identifier RAP-STANDARD in Crossref metadata deposits. This page constitutes the public record of the RAP Standard Licence as referenced in those deposits.
