Submit a Manuscript

Article Types

• Original Research — up to 12,000 words (excluding abstract, references, tables, and figure captions). Authors are encouraged to present their findings as concisely as possible; well-argued shorter papers are equally welcome.
• Review Article — up to 10,000 words
• Rapid Communication — up to 3,000 words, reporting significant preliminary or time-sensitive findings

Manuscript Preparation

• Manuscripts must be submitted as Word (.docx) or PDF files.
• Double-blind review: the main manuscript file must be fully anonymised. Remove all author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and funding details from the body of the manuscript. Place these on a separate title page uploaded as a supplementary file.
• Abstract: max 300 words (structured for Original Research articles).
• Keywords: 4–8 terms.
• References: APA 7th edition. Include DOIs where available.
• Figures: 300 dpi minimum; TIFF, EPS, or high-resolution PDF.

Submission Process

We target publication within 7 days of a submission being finalised, plus any time reasonably required for authors to address referee comments. Our process is designed to be efficient, fair, and transparent.

1. Initial triage — Our AI-assisted editorial system assesses scope fit, rigour, originality, and clarity of communication. Out-of-scope or desk-rejected submissions receive a prompt decision at no charge.
2. Submission & APC fee — A combined submission and article processing fee of £2,495 is payable upon submission. This covers editorial handling, peer review, typesetting, and open-access publication.
3. Peer review — Double-blind review by two or more independent experts. Reviewers are remunerated for their work and selected by AI-assisted semantic matching to ensure genuine expertise alignment.
4. Editorial decision — Accept, major revision, minor revision, or reject, accompanied by detailed reviewer comments. Decisions are made on the basis of rigour, originality, and clarity — not perceived importance or prestige.
5. Publication — Accepted articles are published on a continuous rolling basis immediately after copyediting and typesetting. We target publication within 7 days of final author sign-off.

Ethics Requirements

Research involving human participants, human data, or animals must include a statement of ethical approval. All submissions are checked for plagiarism. Simultaneous submission to another journal is not permitted. By submitting, authors confirm that all co-authors have approved the manuscript and consent to publication.
